Emotional Intelligence in Organizations

The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report highlighted in January 2016 emotional intelligence (EI) as one of the top ten skills required by 2020.

To address this increasingly important topic we would like to invite you to the first International Conference on Emotional Intelligence in Organizations held at the University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg, Austria on 24 and 25 November 2016. The conference will focus on how to learn and develop emotional intelligence and how to apply emotional intelligence in organizations.

The aims of this conference are threefold:

  1. to learn from the experiences scientists, managers, educators and practitioners have made and how to apply these insights in future:
  2. to increase awareness for emotional intelligence in organizations and to highlight the key role of EI in change processes, leadership, human resource management, marketing and neuro science;
  3. to establish a stable community interested in emotional intelligence as applied in organizations integrating professionals, who would like to network and share knowledge.

We from the Department of Marketing will also contribute and look at the subject from different angles.

More about the conference can be found at and the call for papers can be downloaded here Call for Papers.
